Godaddy recently shutdown its live chat support and focused mainly on providing 24/7 landline support. This is the only support they are providing to its customer right now. They are launching call centers in different countries to increase their response time. Currently their expected wait time is from 6 to 8 minutes on call.

Hostgator is very flexible if it comes to a customer support. They not only provide 24/7 landline and live chat, they also are very responsive if anyone wants to create a ticket and wanted too check their reply on later time. Which make hostgator a better customer support.

HostGator charge discriminated prices on multiple year purchase and prices keep on decreasing with the increase in number of year whereas Godaddy charge pretty flat price irrespective of the years.

At Godaddy one must have to purchase any hosting plan for at least 3 months but HostGator is little flexible which allow to purchase hosting plan for minimum one month.

HostGator offers three different hosting plans i.e. Hatchling, Baby and Business. The only difference between Hatchling and Baby plan is that, single domain is allowed to run on Hatchling plan whereas unlimited domains are allowed run on Baby plan. Business plan have all the features of Hatchling and Baby plan with three major additional features of private SSL, dedicated IP and a toll free number.

Godaddy also have three plans i.e. Economy, Delux and Ultimate. Economy plan provide 100GB of disk storage with one domain whereas Delux plan provide unlimited disk space and allow unlimited domains on Delux plan. Ultimate plan provide 1 year private SSL certificate with Premium DNS. All three plan also offer 1 free domain on annual hosting plan.

Note: Only prices for first years are differentiated and both companies charge same renewal rate from subsequent years.
